This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

As Street Works Co-Ordinator, you will provide support to the Planning department who are responsible for planning and scheduling reactive and planned work within our Network area. You will manage all aspects of street works; including noticing and traffic management, liaising with all local authorities’ submission of Traffic management plans and opening notices. You will be responsible for the Opening and Closing of Notices using bespoke systems whilst ensuring that all aspects of the Traffic Management Act are met.

 

So what will you be doing? 

This role consists of taking ownership and accountability of projects you are involved in which includes;

  • Responsible for the Opening and Closing of Permits whilst ensuring that all aspects of the TMA (Traffic Management Act) are met
  • Ensuring the preparation of job packs and scheduling jobs to work teams
  • Responsible for coordination of traffic management
  • Raising Section 50 noticing
  • Raise work packs that are fit for purpose, that include utility drawings and, relevant safety forms
  • Schedule and monitor all works into weekly programmes
  • To safely and effectively schedule staff (direct and contractors).

 

The Person

You must be experienced in the use of Street works permitting systems (Ideally Symology section 50) and have a good knowledge of the New Roads and Streetworks (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act (TMA). You will also have;

  • Experience of multi resource scheduling
  • Experience of street works / NRSWA tasks
  • Experience of scheduling utility projects.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Experience of managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to adapt and react to change
  • Good level PC literacy, with the ability to learn and use a variety of systems.
  • Awareness of commercial obligations
