eSmart Networks is the leading provider of infrastructure for electric vehicle charging and renewable grid connections in the UK and we are currently seeking an experienced HSQE Manager to join the team!

The Role

The HSQE Manager has the responsibility for the full spectrum of Health and Safety activities together with training and certification for site staff. The role includes compliance, risk reduction and business education in ensuring all our employees and key stakeholders return safely home every night. You will also:

  • Ensure that the Health and Safety Policies, Lloyds register, and BSI/ISO are maintained and updated to accommodate significant change.
  • Liaising with company Directors and Safety Advisors on health and safety planning and the formulation and development of the company’s Safety Management and Audit System.
  • Ensuring that a Safety Training Policy is produced, and Safety-Training Programs are developed and implemented.
  • Review and analyse all documentation and RAM.
  • Carry out accident and insurance investigations across the business as required.


The Person

We are looking for someone who has proven experience in a similar role ideally from a utilities/construction background and who is skilled in the successful HSQE management, supervision and delivery. Ability to work at a strategic, tactical or operational level is key for us and the ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership, motivational and people skills, with demonstrable coaching abilities. They will also have:

  • Detailed knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment methodologies, processes and techniques within the Utilities or Construction Sector.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and processes.
  • Knowledge of NERS, Lloyds register accreditation.
  • Knowledge of NICEIC Accreditation and electricity at work act


  • Appropriate diploma /Degree / Post graduate qualification.
  • Full UK Driver’s License
