eSmart Networks is the leading provider of infrastructure for electric vehicle charging and renewable grid connections in the UK and we are currently seeking to hire a Construction Administrator to join the growing team!  The role is to provide a focal point of contact for all elements of the eSmart Networks EHV Department, working across duties from the Civils Team, Electric Installation Team, HSQE Tea, Procurement Team and Project Engineers.

So What will you be doing?

Responsible for regularly checking to ensure that information going to and from site is up to date and ensuring that we maintain the highest quality with all paperwork returns. Other responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing work packs including utility drawings and relevant safety documentation.
  • Operate work management tools and IT systems to assist with the planning, issuing and completion of work
  • Liaise with both operatives and contractors on any site issues
  • Regular checks on quality and quantity of paperwork returns from both direct and subcontracted teams

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position, ideally in construction or utilities and have strong organisational skills. Someone who has a pro-active and hands on approach and experienced in managing multiple concurrent projects is key for this role. Other elements we look for include:

  • Ability to adapt and react to change.
  • Strong aptitude for working in a large team with lots of stakeholders
  • Good level PC literacy, with the ability to learn and use a variety of systems.
  • Awareness of commercial obligations
  • Knowledge and understanding of customer service and impact on business performance
