This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

This role will form a crucial part of the newly formed commercial team, working alongside Project Managers and the wider operational and finance teams to manage all commercial aspects of projects up to £5m value. Being at the forefront of a reputable, exciting and growing business, you will adopt the Group core values to maintain exemplary Customer relationships, whilst protecting the business from commercial risk.

What will you be doing?

Provide Quantity Surveying / commercial activities across a portfolio of client whilst integrating with Project Managers and the wider team to support all commercial aspects. You will also:

  • Manage the Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process
  • Capture, compile, submit and agree variations
  • Ability to manage sub-contractor processes and payments, valuations, variations, interim payment applications and final accounts
  • Forecasting revenue profile and margin expectations
  • Identify commercial risk and mitigate to protect the business


The Person

We are looking for someone with a strong, proven background within Quantity Surveying at an intermediate level with previous experience of managing multiple projects and the ability to work using their own initiative. 


  • Quantity Surveying techniques including take offs and contract administration
  • Civil Engineering and electrical knowledge
  • Awareness of DNO’s and IDNO’s
  • Various Forms of Contract
  • Financial and commercial management


  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent HND/HNC
  • Desirable to be a member of a Professional Body
  • Excellent IT Skills including MS Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
